PowerApps and SharePoint
The client is a consulting firm in Atlanta USA with end users who are management-level personnel from other companies they serve to. The end user’s need their branded sub-site in the SharePoint portal and also required dashboard to view their stats. This project is all about SharePoint , PowerApps and custom development for site templates.
The client here was looking to have a standard site template for all their end clients for their sub-site. They wanted to keep the look and functionality same for all their clients but yet keep some flexibility of customization of their own. They also needed to have a functionality to log every staff members leaves and requests.
After analysing their package for end clients we suggested to create a Site template with custom permission hierarchy which can be easily used for any sub-site that is created under the root site. As for the leave management we created a PowerApps solution with multiple user roles and Approval system to allow employees to check their leave balance and submit requests to their managers for approval.
One challenge during this project was to have a standard groups and permission for all end clients. And for the PowerApps the role based access was also something we did for the first time but all worked out well and client gained their users confidence with a easy to use solutions.
